‘Twilight’ by Stephanie Meyers has already showed me that many books are way better than the movie. Not very far in the book honestly, but the story has already revealed more about the main character, Bella, than throughout the entire movie. I wasn’t really fond of the movie, but already I love the book and how each character is being presented. The protagonist, Bella, has just moved in with her father for the summer; her parents are separated. She’s not too happy about the move. She lived with her sometimes overbearing mother in the sunny and mostly warm weather in Phoenix, but now she was moving in with her dad who lived in Forks where it was rainy and miserable. Bella never fit in; even at home she felt out of place. She felt as if nobody understood her; they didn’t really know her like she knew herself. On the first page the narrator reveals that she will die in the arms of someone she loves; that caught my attention, very interesting. Her dad was the non-emotional type compared to her mother who was extremely emotional. Their emotional differences are most likely what caused them to go their separate ways.
